WINNERS of the FNQ Short Course Championships!

Well done Marlin Coast Swimmers - we won the FNQ Short Course Championships!

A big congratulations to all those swimmers for Marlin Coast who competed on Friday night, Saturday and Sunday, as well as our Coaches Ben and Nick and all of the parents for their assistance with timekeeping, officiating and running the computers at the meet.

Another big congratulations to Cameron Keith for winning the Clams classic Open Water 1.5km swim on today.

Also congratulations to Soraya Scott and Jasmine Tong for their wonderful results at the National Pool Rescue this weekend.

Remember it is our first Club Night this Friday with new swimmers attending the beginners coaching session at 5:30pm and nomination forms to be in by 6:20pm at the latest so we can start racing at 6:30.

Club togs will be for sale and able to be ordered at the first club night this Friday - please see the price list. We will only be ordering a couple of times, so if you want them this season, you really need to get in and order them!

Thanks everyone and happy swimming!

Hi everyone
Rapidly approaching is the FNQ Short Course Champs, held at TAS pool in White Rock. Check out the flyer here. For those of you nominating for the first time, the nomination forms are in the cabinet across form the front desk at Smithfield Pool, and you can use the envelopes there to put the form and money in the nominations box right at the entrance to the pool (ask staff if you can't find it!). Alternatively, you can pay by EFT - click here for the details (also there's a link on the left for future reference).

We had a great turn out for the club at Officials Training on Sunday - thanks to those who took time out of their weekend to come! We hope to see you all out in official roles soon.

Don't forget club sign on this Friday at 6pm!

Club sign on 9th August

Free membership for 7 and unders!
Swimming Queensland has agreed to pay for all 7years and under membership fees this season, which is great news for us as a club. We look forward to welcoming in some younger members.

Clinics for new swimmers!
Are your children interested in getting involved in club or competitive swimming, but not sure where or how to start? For the first 3 club nights, there will be clinics for new swimmers from 5.30-6pm - just before the club night starts at Smithfield Pool.

Sign on - 9th August
All are welcome to our club sign on on the 9th August at Smithfield pool at 6pm. Meet the coaches, have a sausage, and meet some of the club members. We won't be swimming on club sign on, it's just a meet, greet & join.

Hope to see you next Friday!

Happy swimming
